The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) offers a variety of services to help veterans and their families succeed academically. Services include:

-Academic advising and counseling
-Certification of VA Education benefits
-Liaison with other COD services, including support for students with disabilities
-Liaison with county, state, and federal veterans organizations
-Opportunity to learn new skills
-Personalized one-on-one assistance
-Priority registration for students in good academic standing who have completed the SSSP requirements and have completed fewer than 101 units at COD
-Transition services

-For students, faculty, and staff who are military veterans with a discharge under conditions other than dishonorable
-For students, faculty, and staff who are active duty National Guard or Reserve military personnel
-For spouses and dependent children of military veterans or active duty National Guard or Reserve.

How to Apply

Services are available on a walk in basis or by appointment. Call 760-773-2536 to schedule an appointment. Please bring the following documentation, as applicable:

-DD-214, page 4 (for veterans)
-Military ID (if currently in the Reserves or National Guard)
-Certificate of Eligibility (if using VA Education Benefits)
