ADC’s program is designed to assist individuals in learning daily living skills, social skills and communication skills while promoting community based instruction and client independence. Since community based instruction is a key element in ADC’s program design, clients participate in community outings such as; The Living Desert, local museums, Pegasus Riding Academy, bowling, Children’s Discovery Museum, parks and recreation services, etc. During on-site programming, the clients participate in learning daily living skills, computer skills, fine & gross motor skills, arts & crafts, and communication skills. ADC’s program offers four main components; General ADC, Intermediate, Pre-Vocational and a Senior group; clients are placed in groups based on their abilities.

How to Apply

Must be referred from Inland Regional Center. To enroll with Inland Regional Center contact the Intake Coordinator for your County: San Bernardino County call (909) 890-3053. Riverside County call (909) 890-3370

A person is eligible for Regional Center Services if they have a “substantial developmental disability,” that originates before the age of 18 and will likely continue indefinitely. The criteria includes:
- intellectual disability
- cerebral palsy
- epilepsy
- autism
- disabling conditions similar to intellectual disability that require comparable treatment

Note, disabling conditions that are solely physical or psychiatric in nature, or solely a learning disability are not eligible for services.

Inland Regional Center will assign case manager to participant. Case manager can refer directly to Desert Arc.
