La Quinta Public Library provides loans of books and other media, as well as computer access. They offer a safe space for improving literacy and education – whether it is technological, information or instruction. Book clubs, homework help, and special community events are also available.
-Library cards are free for California residents.There is a $1 replacement fee for lost cards.
-Out-of-state residents can obtain a library card for a $10 annual fee.
-Children under 16 must have a parent or guardian sign for their card.

How to Apply
Walk in to sign up for a library card. You must provide the following documentation:
-Valid California driver's license (if over 16 years old)
-Proof of address (e.g., piece of mail, utility bill) if your ID address is not current
-Completed library card application. You can apply online here in English or Spanish. Your library card can be picked up at your chosen "home library."
