Description

Friday Night Live (FNL) is a youth development program focused on avoidance of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, as well as gambling avoidance and traffic safety. Teens partner with adults and peers to develop youth-driven and youth-led programs, serve their communities, and strengthen their leadership skills. Participants generally meet twice a month after school, as well as community events.

How to Apply

There are over 80 FNL chapters in the Coachella Valley area. Chapters include community centers, elementary schools and high schools in Coachella Valley Unified School District, Desert Sands Unified School District, and Palm Springs Unified School District. To find out if the program is offered at your school, ask the adviser in charge or call 760-770-2399. You can also contact a participating community center to join. No documentation is required to join an existing chapter, and there is no wait list.

Schools, community centers, and houses of worship interested in starting a chapter must submit a chapter application and chapter profile. There is no minimum or maximum number of youth participants per chapter.
