The Library offers a variety of basic computer skills classes to the public free of charge. Class sizes are limited to ensure hands-on instruction and pre-registration is required for each class.
Beginning Computer Skills Class: Learn the parts of a computer and how to use a mouse and keyboard, turn computer on and off. Offered first Thursday of each month 10:00am-11:30am.
Email & Internet Basics Class: Learn about getting connected to the internet, surfing the web and using email. Offered every other first Thursday of the month 3:00pm-4:30pm.
Social Media Basics Class: Learn about social medial sites, including Facebook and Twitter. Offered every other first Thursday of the month 3:00pm-4:30pm.
Word Processing 101 Class: Learn about MS Word and other word processing programs. Offered alternating 3rd Thursday of the month 10:00am-11:30am.
Excel and PowerPoint 101 Class: Learn how to create spreadsheets and presentations with Excel and PowerPoint basics. Offered alternating 3rd Thursday of the month 10:00am-11:30am.
Internet Job Searching 101 Class: Learn about Library/Internet resources and how to search and apply for jobs online. Offered alternating 3rd Thursday of the month 10:00am-11:30am.

How to Apply
Must register prior to course. Can register in person at Library or by calling (760) 322-READ and ask to speak to a Librarian. Individuals can only attend each class once per calendar year.
