The Career & Education Center at Martha's is a drop in center offering a variety of services for adults pursuing educational or career goals. The center provides:
-copying and faxing services
-voice mail account where prospective employers can leave messages
-job leads and housing options
-assistance obtaining identification documents (driver's license, state ID card, birth certificate) and bus passes
-notary services, tuition, books, uniforms and other work or school-related supplies provided on a case-by-case basis.
-Challenge to Change, a one-week course to help with goal setting and self esteem building
-Counseling, education, and referrals for individuals with substance use concerns
The Career and Education also offers classes on a variety of topics, including:
-Adult education and GED preparation
-English as a Second Language (ESL)
-Job search skills
-Volunteer translators are sometimes on hand to accommodate Spanish speaking clients, but availability varies. If you need a translator, it is recommended that you call ahead to make arrangements.

How to Apply
The center is open to the community Monday through Thursday mornings for job and housing search activities. Walk ins are welcome. Classes are offered in the afternoon. To register for a class, call 760-347-4741 x108 or walk in and ask for Julie. No documentation is required to register. The class schedule changes periodically, so it is best to walk in to the center to pick up a current schedule.
